Presenting the Minor Arcana Tarot Cards The Minor Arcana consists of 56 tarot cards. These are made up of four suits that are known by different names. But for this example we will call them Cups, Wands, Pentacles, and Swords. The Minor Arcana consists of Aces, Court cards and numbers. The court cards represent people and situations. Readers interpretation of colouring can vary, but the court cards come into two categories of colouring—dark and light. Cups and Wands have light colouring while Pentacles and Swords are dark.
