Although I offer my interpretation of the Major Arcana cards on this page you need to understand their relationship to other cards of the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana cards. Be careful not to interpret an individual card out of context - this could give you a completely different understanding that what is intended. Click here to Order Film The Major Arcana consists of 22 trump tarot cards. When selected by a client and laid, the Major Arcana cards interpretation have different meanings depending whether they are upright or reversed. The description includes both the upright and reversed meaning. I will present each Major Arcana card and give a description and meaning for the upright card and the reversed card. Major Arcana - The chariot would suggests movement—transportation for instance. A card of conquest that entails a lot of hard work, but the effort is worthwhile in the end The chariot reversed is a taste of defeat. Be careful of self-indulgence. A new approach is needed. 
The Strength card indicates that a recovery is in progress from an illness. It indicates strength of someone’s conviction. It shows inner strength and moral courage. The reverse indicates inner strength is needed to overcome difficult situations. Weakness and poor health can continue for some time. 
The hermit card represents the tendency to escape from the responsibilities of every day life. There is a retreat from the pressure of life and looking inward. You must take a long look at yourself. You are working long hours to avoid a social life. Ultimate responsibility is yours. In reverse it means that you should be careful with your decisions and do not rush into things. There is a feeling of isolation. 
Major Arcana - The Wheel of fortune indicates change and the ability to deal with those changes. Everything moves in cycles and change is not always permanent and irreversible. The wheel of destiny is constantly turning and it will come full circle given time. In practical terms it means that good luck and success, could easily change. The cycle is always moving. What seemed like misfortune could be fortune. In reverse it indicates a change in fortune that will end in a struggle. Anxiety and struggle against events that cannot be overturned. The Justice card represents legal ramifications, with involvement in courts, lawyers and purchasing property. On balance, the right outcome has been achieved. If you are in dispute you will be proved correct The reverse card indicates that a legal representative is not on your side or you are incorrect in your beliefs. You may expect injustice in some way 
The Hanged man symbolises, sudden and abrupt change, which may demand sacrifice. Do not fear change but accept it and face it head on. It symbolises the quest for knowledge a new beginning and a better understanding of the past. In reverse—you are preoccupied with material matters and self interest. You need to look at your spiritual development. 
Major Arcana - The death card—Do not be alarmed when this card emerges. The death card is the symbol for transformation or a new beginning, overcoming the challenge leading to a rebirth. It can also represent mortality. When placed adjacent to the judgement card and 10 of swords it can indicate mortality.
