The Fool CardThe fool has come to represent a traveler who carries his worldly belongings in his bag. He is full of visions and dreams The original 1910 A.E. Waite card of the fool depicted a young man of huge proportions, looking towards the sky with a white rose held high in his left hand as he is about to step over a precipice. The sun is high in the sky behind him and a white dog jumps beside him. His possessions are in a bag at the end of a stick upon his right shoulder. His clothes are extremely decorative. In the same way that the medieval fool survived punishment by being granted impunity, this fool is a survivor. The fool represents new decisions and spontaneity. You step into something new and take a risk. There is a risk that is worth taking. There could be a new job on the horizon— possibly a new town. The bag on his staff tells us that he has all he needs to accomplish anything. He is on his way to a brand new beginning but be warned. The dog is trying to pull him in line - do not daydream -be realistic. In reverse—be careful of your choice. The risk may not be the right one. Consider your options well for a new venture
